Front-end Developer

About the role 

StormGeo is seeking a Front-end Developer to join our Routing Advisory Services (RAS) product team and contribute to building intuitive, high-quality user interfaces for our maritime software solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate business needs into seamless and user-friendly digital experiences. 

Your expertise in modern frontend frameworks, UI performance optimization, and clean, maintainable code will play a key part in delivering reliable, impactful applications that provide real value to our clients. 

Main Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, and maintain user-facing applications for vessel routing, weather insights, and operational decision support. 
• Implement responsive, accessible, and performant UI components using modern frontend technologies. 
• Collaborate with design teams to transform mockups, UX flows, and prototypes into production-ready interfaces. 
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and ensure efficient data handling. 
• Optimize front-end performance to improve scalability, responsiveness, and user experience. 
• Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards for code quality, maintainability, and best practices. 

Core Requirements 

• 3+ years of experience as a Frontend Developer. 
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with Angular framework. 
• Experience working with REST APIs or gRPC-web integrations. 
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and accessibility best practices. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot UI/UX and performance issues. 
• Good understanding of web application best practices (security, performance, testing). 
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and contribute to projects in parallel. 
• Willingness to maintain and enhance existing codebases.
