QA Manager

About the Role  

We are looking for an experienced QA Manager to lead our Quality Assurance team of QA Engineers, ranging from junior to senior levels, supporting their professional growth and ensuring effective collaboration with development teams. 

In this role, you will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving QA processes to ensure the quality, reliability, and security of our software. You will help shape the overall QA strategy, balancing manual and automated testing to maximize test coverage, efficiency, and delivery speed. 

This role will also own the transformation from a traditional QA model to a modern, AI-augmented quality engineering function, driving pragmatic modernization of QA practices while maintaining high standards for delivery, security, and product quality.  

Main Responsibilities   

• Design and establish companywide QA processes, frameworks, and best practices to ensure software reliability and efficiency.  
• Work closely with Development, Product Management, and other teams to integrate QA seamlessly into the software development lifecycle.  
• Define and maintain a QA roadmap, aligning testing initiatives with business objectives and development goals.  
• Develop and drive a comprehensive QA strategy, including manual and automated testing, to improve efficiency and test coverage.  
• Ensure all products meet quality standards before release by defining test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria.  
• Monitor and analyze key QA metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.   
• Act as the main point of contact for all QA-related matters, ensuring smooth communication between QA and other departments.  
• Advocate for quality and testing best practices across the organization.   
• Lead the gradual evolution of QA practices from a manual- and script-heavy model to an AI-augmented quality engineering approach. 
• Reduce repetitive manual testing through a combination of automation and AI assistance, while preserving human judgment for high-risk and high-impact scenarios. 
• Ensure that QA processes, test environments, test data, and AI-assisted workflows comply with company security, privacy, and compliance policies. 

Core Requirements  

• Proven experience as a QA Manager, QA Lead, or similar leadership role in a software development environment.  
• Leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing QA professionals. 
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and best practices.  
• Experience with test automation frameworks, tools, and strategies, including integration into CI/CD pipelines.  
• Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.  
• Good knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and the role of QA within Agile teams.  
• Proficiency in test management tools and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).  
• Experience in implementing or improving QA processes in a fast-growing or scaling organization.  
• Understanding of security and compliance testing requirements.  
• Interest in, or experience with, AI-assisted tools (e.g. ChatGPT Enterprise, Codex, or similar) applied to testing, automation, or quality analysis. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.  
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and advocate for quality at all levels.  
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, as the role involves working with international teams.

• Salary is up to 6700 Eur/gross per month. The final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
