About the Role 

We are looking for a hands-on IT Service Desk Manager to lead and actively contribute to StormGeo’s Global IT Service Desk function. This is a player-coach role where you will both manage a small, globally distributed team (APAC, EU, US) and work directly with day-to-day IT support operations.

You will own and operate our Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for internal IT support, ensuring efficient handling of all 1st line tickets while maintaining high service quality and responsiveness across regions.

This position is based in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Main Responsibilities 

  • Lead and support a globally distributed Service Desk team across APAC, EU, and the US.
  • Act as the owner of the global Service Desk function and SPOC model.
  • Participate directly in ticket resolution and day-to-day support operations.
  • Provide on-site IT support including deskside assistance and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure efficient handling of incidents and service requests with clear prioritization and escalation.
  • Monitor and improve SLA performance and service quality.
  • Identify recurring issues and drive practical improvements in workflows and processes.
  • Maintain visibility of IT assets and manage asset procurement.

Core Requirements 

  • Proven experience in IT support with hands-on technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience leading or mentoring a small team (formal or informal leadership).
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid role combining leadership and operational support.
  • Experience working with distributed or global teams.
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools such as Jira Service Management and Confluence.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 and modern workplace environments.
  • Basic understanding of identity, endpoint management, and IT security principles.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
