With over 18 years of maritime industry experience, Julie has excelled in diverse roles, including tanker operator, bunker buyer, oil refinery trader, and now as the Global Head of Bunker Sales at StormGeo. In a previous role, she spearheaded the establishment of an internal bunker desk for a major tanker operator, where she recognized the transformative power of digitalizing bunker management. By overcoming significant challenges, Julie demonstrated how digitalization can break down silos and optimize one of the largest operational expenses.

Julie is deeply familiar with the hurdles commercial operators face in the complex bunker industry, especially in navigating the challenges of digital transparency. At StormGeo Bunker Management, she empowers clients to make strategic changes, streamlining bunker planning and procurement for optimal results.

As the industry evolves with new regulations and increasing complexity, Julie emphasizes the urgency of innovation. She cautions that staying complacent risks falling behind competitors. With her expertise, Julie ensures her clients remain agile and ahead in this dynamic and fast-changing sector.

Espen Martinsen serves as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at StormGeo. With over 15 years of experience in sales leadership and strategic business development, Espen has demonstrated a strong commitment to driving growth and innovation within the shipping industry.

Espen has been instrumental in transforming StormGeo into a leader in ship operations. Under his guidance, the integration of platforms from industry leaders such as Nautisk, Bunker Metrics, DNV, and StormGeo has resulted in a market-leading solution that serves over 13,000 vessels. This comprehensive platform offers clients a one-stop shop for vessel and voyage optimization, environmental compliance, and efficient bunker procurement and planning.

Espen's key motivation at StormGeo is to support shipping companies in improving energy efficiency and reducing their carbon footprint. By combining technology, profitability, and innovation in developing new solutions, he helps clients achieve significant operational improvements.

Before joining StormGeo, Espen served as the Nordic Director at the LEGO Group, where he honed his skills in managing large-scale operations and logistics with a focus on creativity and sustainability. Prior to this, his tenure at SuperOffice, a leading European software company, provided him with valuable insights into digital strategies and data sharing, laying the foundation for his work with technology and digital solutions.
