Our APAC Operations Manager, Michael Krch, will present the topic, 'The Role of the Human Element in AI-Enhanced Ship Routing Technology,' on March 27 at 11:30 am SGT.

Title: The Role of Human Element in AI-Enhanced Ship Routing Technology
Speaker: Michael Krch, APAC Operations Manger, APAC at StormGeo
Date: March 27, 2025 (Thursday)
Time: 11:30 am SGT
Venue: Knowledge Sharing Theatre
Synopsis
This presentation will explore how integrating AI and human expertise enhances voyage optimization. AI optimizes routes based on weather and currents but lacks flexibility for weather buffers and forecast errors. Human operators fill this gap, making nuanced decisions near safety limits and assessing long-term risks. This hybrid approach ensures safer and more efficient maritime operations.
