Under his guidance, the integration of platforms from industry leaders such as Nautisk, Bunker Metrics, DNV, and StormGeo has resulted in a market-leading solution that serves over 13,000 vessels. This comprehensive platform offers clients a one-stop shop for vessel and voyage optimization, environmental compliance, and efficient bunker procurement and planning.
Espen's key motivation at StormGeo is to support shipping companies in improving energy efficiency and reducing their carbon footprint. By combining technology, profitability, and innovation in developing new solutions, he helps clients achieve significant operational improvements.
Before joining StormGeo, Espen served as the Nordic Director at the LEGO Group, where he honed his skills in managing large-scale operations and logistics with a focus on creativity and sustainability. Prior to this, his tenure at SuperOffice, a leading European software company, provided him with valuable insights into digital strategies and data sharing, laying the foundation for his work with technology and digital solutions.

Since 2006, Michael O' Brien has been an integral part of the StormGeo family. He began by establishing the New York office and has since contributed significantly across various operational capacities in New York, California, and now Germany.
In 2023, assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer at StormGeo, bringing with him three decades of diverse leadership and operational experience. His journey includes the following key milestones:

Amaranta Rundin is Product Director for Onboard Solutions at StormGeo, where she steers the vision, roadmap and delivery of the company’s s-Planner® and wider onboard platform used by shipping fleets worldwide. Drawing on more than two decades at the intersection of maritime meteorology and digital product development, she transforms complex data into intuitive tools that help operators sail safer, greener and more efficiently. Since joining StormGeo in 2013 she has progressed from Senior Route Analyst to Managing Director of StormGeo AB, leading cross-functional teams and championing agile, user-centred processes. Prior roles with Foreca and SMHI honed her forecasting expertise and client-focused mindset. An advocate for sustainability and collaborative leadership, Amaranta frequently shares insights at industry forums on the future of intelligent shipping.
