Oslo, Norway, 07.05.2026 – StormGeo announced today that it has expanded its Energy Analytics commercial team with three key hires, welcoming Tom Løversen, Carsten Focke-Wenzel, and Silje Gulbrandsen to the company.
Løversen joins as Senior Sales Manager, Focke-Wenzel as Sales Manager, and Gulbrandsen as Product Marketing and Growth Lead, bringing extensive experience from energy analytics, market intelligence, sales, and technology marketing environments. Together, they will support the continued expansion of StormGeo’s energy intelligence services across the wider European market.
The latest hires – Tom Løversen, Carsten Focke-Wenzel and Silje Gulbrandsen – are part of the ongoing build-up of the new team being led by recently appointed SVP Energy Analytics Espen Zachariassen. These follow the recruitment earlier this year of a trio of technology experts focused on product development at StormGeo, a global leader in weather intelligence and decision-support solutions that is part of Alfa Laval.
“We are investing in the commercial capabilities that support our long-term growth in energy analytics – and strengthening our marketing team is a natural next step,” Zachariassen says.
“These hires will play an important role in bringing our combined weather intelligence, energy forecasts and market insight to more customers as we expand our footprint beyond the Nordics to encompass pan-European coverage across all trading horizons.”
The commercial team will support customers through delivery of integrated data-driven solutions for enhanced decision-making to manage risk and realise value as they seek to navigate volatility and complexity in a constantly evolving energy market landscape.
Løversen, who started in the position of Senior Sales Manager at StormGeo in April this year, brings to bear specialist experience from a range of sales positions with several analytical companies – including Volue and Montel Analytics – focused on marketing of energy data and forecasting solutions to energy decision-makers in the Nordic and Baltic regions, as well as the UK.
“What attracted me to StormGeo is the combination of strong product quality and clear potential for further development,” Løversen says.
“Having worked in sales for most of my career, I bring a structured and systematic approach to creating results. I’m passionate about building strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing customers.
“Quality is important to me at every stage, and I value processes that support consistency and trust. StormGeo already has a solid foundation, and I’m excited to contribute to strengthening it even further going forward.”
He will be supported by Focke-Wenzel, who will join StormGeo as Sales Manager in May from a position as head of CWE sales at Volue, and Gulbrandsen, who will take up the role of Product Marketing and Growth Lead in August after serving as digital marketing manager at Shearwater Geoservices, following similar positions with Norwegian publishing group Schibsted and computer giant Microsoft.
“The solid credibility that StormGeo has demonstrated in the Nordics provides a solid platform on which to extend both our reach and range of deliverables to energy markets. There is a clear opportunity to bring valuable data-driven insights to a much broader customer base,” Focke-Wenzel says.
Gulbrandsen believes there is strong potential for scalable growth across European markets based on StormGeo’s core marketing strengths of deep domain expertise and advanced analytics.
“Technology has always inspired me, and StormGeo is the perfect place to pair that passion with the fascinating world of energy markets. I’m excited to join a highly skilled team and work together to expand the reach and impact of StormGeo's Energy Analytics platform in Europe and globally,” she says.
And Zachariassen concludes: “The increasing complexity and volatility of energy markets demands deeper data-driven insights for effective decision-making. The high level of competence of our Energy Analytics team provides us with a robust foundation on which to enhance our analytical capabilities and deliver greater value to meet the changing requirements of a dynamic market.”
The new hires follow StormGeo’s appointment of Espen Zachariassen as SVP Energy Analytics earlier in 2026 and are part of a broader effort to expand the domain.
StormGeo will continue to grow its Energy Analytics team and is currently recruiting several additional positions as part of its ongoing investment in the domain.
