StormGeo Strengthens Energy Analytics Business with Senior Analyst Hans Gunnar Nåvik

Oslo 20.08.2026 – StormGeo strengthens its Energy Analytics team with experienced analyst Hans Gunnar Nåvik, who returns to the company after several years at the leading Norwegian investment bank Arctic Securities. 

Nåvik will support StormGeo’s growth ambitions in energy market forecasting and help strengthen the company’s position in the European power market.

This commitment goes hand in hand with strengthening our market and domain expertise, and with Hans Gunnar, we are adding a very experienced analyst to the team. His broad experience and insight into power, oil, and gas markets will be a strong complement to the team’s existing expertise,” says Espen Zachariassen, SVP Energy Analytics at StormGeo. 

Nåvik brings more than 30 years of experience from the energy markets, including roles as an analyst and trader, and as founder and head of analysis at Nena, a company acquired by StormGeo in 2016. Since 2020, he has worked as an analyst at Arctic Securities, with responsibility for renewable energy. 

As Senior Analyst at StormGeo, Nåvik will follow the European power market, with a particular focus on mid- and long-term analysis. He will also work actively with customers and the market and strengthen StormGeo’s industry visibility through conference and event participation.

Nåvik’s appointment is part of a broader effort at StormGeo to strengthen the Energy Analytics business in the European energy sector. Nåvik will join StormGeo on September 1, 2026.
